Good recent stay

Just had a good stay over Labor Day weekend with the family. Explorist status that was “upgraded” to premium room with river view, meaning one of the renovated rooms in the west tower. Beds were very comfy. Blanket a little thin but still nice. Shower was very nice with good water pressure. Service was prompt and efficient — they were handling large groups the whole weekend, there was a marching band staying.

we flew in on a red eye, and they were very kind to let us check in very early at 8am. They even let us have breakfast after we checked in as well. Very grateful as my family was very exhausted.

had club access, which is on 35th floor of west tower. Breakfast was at American Craft restaurant with buffet, which was really good. Loved the scrambled eggs and croissants and fresh fruit. There was a line and wait the second day we went though. At the end they bring a bill that says gratuity is included. Breakfast charges were wiped off the bill upon checkout, minus additional gratuity.

location was great, could walk to water tower place, museum of ice cream and the Chicago river. Would def stay again.
