I generally prefer the 787 because of the cabin pressure/humidity and larger windows, though one other thing to be aware of in addition to the slightly narrower seat is that the storage space under the footrest is also narrower.

I travel with a hard-shell messenger bag that fits like a glove under the foot rest of the 777 Polaris seat, but is literally an inch too wide to fit under the 787 seat.
