I appreciate that for talking/eating, the two middle seats are better.
But she likes to look out the window, has always chosen a window seat when flying in Y and rarely leaves it.
As well as being able to look out the window she also would like to be able occasionally to talk with me, at least briefly.
If she is in a window seat, can anyone suggest the best seats for me to consider:
-across the aisle,
-in a window seat in front of her, or
-in a window seat behind her.
Or is conversation impossible in any of this e situations and the choice is window or conversation?
Thanks in advance.
Take two windows!
The centre seats are ok for a brief chat, but they aren’t that conducive to a long chat, you still have to lean forward considerably to be able to do so. It’s not like you’re immediately side-by-side.
Given the logistics, any sort of extended conversation would be noticeable to those around you, and not particularly comfortable for yourselves.
Windows on the other hand… you get your view, you get to control the shades, they feel like they have more space given they are solo seats. To me, the centre seats feel a bit stuffy.
I’d take two windows, one behind the other. You can chat during WC breaks or when you stand up to stretch your legs.
