Ok so this is probably a long shot but here goes anyway. I booked a prepaid non refundable rate and the rate info said changes allowed until 1 day prior to stay - but not refundable.

My schedule changed and I want to switch dates so I try to do this on the App but can’t… I call Bonvoy and speak to agent…. They say no. I say but the site says changes allowed… turns out changes are “irrelevant” things like number of guests or amenities additions (whatever that means) but not change of dates.

So I ask… well I don’t want a refund, can I change dates and get my prepayment as credit for the new night if I book a higher rate and pay the difference…? No is the answer.

Im sure the fine print is against me…. alas, can the hotel do anything with this (can they manipulate Bonvoy website direct bookings) or should I try again with the SPG customer service…?

Finally, if I end up having to let this go, can I still expect to get stay and points credit for a no show…? Again this is a rate I booked on the Bonvoy website directly.
