I was going to say it’s a pretty ballsy thing to steal a bag in a situation like this, because you could so easily get caught in the act, but I suppose it’s then very easy simply to pretend you grabbed it by mistake.

A real shame if OP’s was indeed stolen deliberately. I would still think/hope it’s unlikely to be what happened.
