BA Gold, as stated, gets a great deal with AA domestic and when I compare fares, those items on Delta or United can cost hundreds of dollars extra. In fact, I think the only things that AA EXPs get over BA Gold are group 1 boarding and a free snack. So even though I also have Star Alliance Gold, I almost always fly AA for my US domestic flights in economy.
EXPs also get on the upgrade list so are much more likely to be in US Domestic F.
