What was the FA supposed to do, smack him?
How did any of this impact your enjoyment of the flight?
If the FA did admonish him, would he be on here complaining about getting admonished by the FA?
As a HS teacher, I really empathize with FA's. Sometimes you just have to pick your battles and not feel the need to admonish every transgression. Especially in a customer service focused job like a FA.
The phone rang. The person might or might not have had it in Airplane Mode (guess what? most of the phones on the plane aren't in airplane mode). The FA cannot go and check every passenger's phone to make sure it is in Airplane Mode. The passenger probably knew the minute the phone rang that he forgot to put it in airplane mode. What was a lecture from the FA supposed to accomplish?
