One more vote for showing the all-in price during search.
It's somewhat often in the US that a hotel within a specific downtown 'zone' has an extra tax that a hotel just outside that zone doesn't pay. An municipal boundaries can be complex and hotels and that comes with not just different general sales tax, but different excise taxes as well.
