Yeah, this isn't helpful for me at all.

I either need to know the Base room rate (which was what was shown) because I need to comply with Government rate (or other base-rate guidelines) for work.
Or I want to see the Room Rate + Taxes (but without the resort fee, because I don't pay them) if I am searching based on personal cost.

Now, I have to dig in to subtract resort fees and then still add taxes in if I want all-in cost.

Nothing was difficult about the old system where resort fee was shown front and center above the room-specific rates that showed with the first click on the hotel specific rate. But thanks to political posturing, I now have a less useful first-glance search result than before. They should just have two boxes to click on the homepage where you put in your search to give the option of displaying results of base room + the option for resort fee and/or tax included. Then we all can get the first-glance search results that we want.

(also useful to have a box that lets results include parking fee)
