However, I really do wonder what would happen onboard a Wizzair or any other LCC flight out of AYT where you need to pay for a physical boarding pass.
I think Wizzair etc have provisions to print boarding passes for free in these situations - there are quite a few smaller airports that do not allow digital passes and every time I used them it was no problem and usually in these cases there is clear message during check it that boarding pass should be collected at the counter. Turkish clearly dropped the ball here, because digital boarding pass was issued without any warning that it was required to check in at the counter.
