I have been to this hotel ( first time for me in an Indigo ) and I must say that it is truly an excellent hotel. I stayed there one night, to celebrate a special occasion, arriving from Nice and before moving to Cannes.

The hotel is very central, although Cagnes-sur-Mer is a small town, with large and spacious rooms, I think almost all with a large balcony and well furnished . On the top floor a small swimming pool. The staff is fantastic and always ready to anticipate every need. Highly suggested the Victoria restaurant inside the hotel.

I chose it because I wanted to visit St. Paul de Vence, and Cagnes sur Mer is the ideal base for an excursion to this beautiful village where world-renowned artists have stayed: in about 10 minutes on foot ( or with one of the buses that stop near the hotel ) you arrive at the railway station, from whose square bus 655 leaves every 30 minutes, which in 20 minutes reaches St. Paul de Vence and Vence.

Cagnes-sur-Mer also has an interesting medieval village, reachable in 15 minutes on foot or with the free shuttle bus 44 from the nearby Place Maurice Bourdet, or the beaches, which can be reached with the free transfer of the hotel or with the shuttle bus 45 from the Place Bourdet itself. And obviously a short distance away the house museum dedicated to Renoir.

To reach the hotel I suggest public transport, very efficient and very comfortable even with luggage in tow, in particular bus 9 from Gran Phoenix tram stop or the airport ( terminal 1, across Promenade des Anglais ) or bus 21 from Grand Arenas, in front of the Holiday Inn Express or Crowne Plaza ( 5 minutes walk from the airport terminal 1 ) or the suburban lines, in particular the 620 Nice-Cannes every 15 minutes.
