Overall, I was honestly pretty disappointed in my stay at the Hilton Vienna Plaza. While Vienna is an absolutely beautiful city, I found the Hilton Plaza to fail in several aspects of execution. Sure, the rooms are big, but still...here are my pros, cons, and photos:

Pros:
  • Delivered a nice welcome gift of some chocolates and a soda (which wasn't my favourite as I don't like carbonation), but it's a nice thought
  • Service was generally friendly
  • View, especially from the Juliet balcony, was generally nice
Neutral:
  • Upgraded from the King Corner I booked (lowest King type available) to a Plaza Executive King - not sure a corner wouldn't have been better or if there were suites available
  • Bed was fine - pillows plush, but mattress was a bit too firm (though, the top was slightly fluffy) and covers were a bit too thin - the bedframe was creaky, as well
  • Breakfast was...fine - most of the food could have tasted better - the best thing was the chocolate marbled muffin - the other pastries and waffles were pretty dry - eggs could have tasted better and hashbrowns had an odd extra flavor - I think they did omelets and Benedicts based on my neighbors, but no one ever came to my table to offer them to me, like they did to other guests
  • For me, evening lounge service was worthless as there weren't any desserts besides dry chocolate chips cookies that they leave out all day
Cons:
  • Shower pressure was poor, and the wand setting was hard to control as pressing the button did not always register an action
  • Way too many stray hairs everywhere - lots left on the bathroom counter, on the carpet, in the shower stall, on the shower head itself
  • TV didn't work - couldn't turn it on
Overall, I have to imagine there are better options in Vienna.
