I think this entirely hinges on why you think you should've booked the StR instead. There are plenty of attributes where the Conrad wins over the StR and many where it loses; not an issue if what you care about falls into the 'win' bucket. For example imho: the Conrad has a better house reef, much newer villas, and overall better breakfast (especially the pastries and crepes).
