I have never used the Money plus miles option, and have always thought of it as poor value - unless you have a few orphan miles to get rid of.

Now that VS points don't expire, and the number of other ways to accumulate them via credit cards, or the Virgin Red app, I think I will stick to my current methods.

Having said that, the ever increasing fees that VS are stinging us with for points redemption flights are making me rethink everything about the whole thing.
