6/25-buy and try to liquidate USB card. Bad mag strip
6/25-request replacement card
7/5-receive replacement card in mail
7/5-call to activate $0 balance spoke to CSR who said card was drained on 6/28 at Target. REALLY!
Stated they would perform and investigation and let me know within 90 days. Was not happy
7/24-received letter stating an “error” was made and they will send me a new card in 7-10 days.
8/11-After waiting another 2.5 weeks I finally called and she told me she could see the $500 credit and would NOW reissue me a new card.
8/23-finally received my replacement card
2 months total. Had the original replacement card not been drained in transit it would have been an easy fix, but dealing with the drained card is what dragged the process out another 6 weeks. Lesson learned, next bad mag strip I’ll just eat it and use it for utilities or something. Wasn’t worth my time and effort.
