Jet2 would just start thier own operation with a few destinations before buying the whole kit and caboodle from BA. Jet2 tends to start small to test the market before expanding. The BA shorthaul network at LGW would be too big for Jet2.
Also the working ways of the 2 companies are completely different and it would be very hard to switch the BA personnel to how Jet2 works.
