Claiming Flyingblue XP on JAL flights
Hi All,
I recently flew on 4 domestic flights on Japan airlines (FUK-HND-CTS) and (CTS-HND-CTS). I am also a flying blue member (gold) with AF and I would like to credit the XP gained on the JAL flights onto my FB account.
I know that JAL is not part of Skyteam but the FB website states that JAL is a partner airline and that we can earn XP on legible JAL flights. As I was flying domestic economy, my booking class should be A or Y in order to receive XP.
I booked the flight very last minute and paid A LOT (~650eur try/ pax) for it so I expect my booking class to be at least A.
2 weeks after the flight, I saw that my miles and XP still weren’t credited so I contacted flying blue and sent them my boarding pass. They replied to me that they couldn’t confirm which booking class I had booked as it wasn’t stated on my boarding pass and that I needed to request a boarding certificate from JAL with the booking class written on it. I did as they told but turn out JAL’s only English email I found was for the hearing disability assistance team. They were nice enough to explain to me how to request it on the website. I did as they said but one I got my boarding certificate, I found out that my booking class wasn’t written on it.
I know this only counts as 8 XP but I expect to fly less this year than last year so every XP counts for me.
Does anybody have any tips or know what to do next in order to claim my XP?
Thank you in advance
Matheo
PS - At first the Japan Airlines hearing assistance team didn’t want to help me and told me to contact the reservation team. They later told me in a different email that the reservation team does not have an English email, and so they would help me just this once instead.
