Yes, Brazil's ATMs have minimum withdrawal sums, some inside banks tend not to have this restriction. But my usual way around this is to accept the minimum then ask my hotel to take credit the spare cash into my account. You don't have to do this at check-out at the big hotels, and they sometimes want to get a bit of small denominations inwards. But Uber makes life a lot easier in South America generally.
Our problem with this is we are using points for the 2 nights we were staying in BR and will have a 0 bal at both hotels so we would be stuck with any unused currency.
It is what we usually do when we travel unless its in the EU since we would eventually use the Euros, unlike most local currencies
