I was assigned a standard room with a nice view of the RUI hotel parking lot. As I walk around at night I see the lights on in all three towers on all floors. The resort doesn’t seem to busy, go figure! And, $118 for an upgrade and breakfast seems like a lot of money to me. Lots of restaurants close by with great food and much lower price. Plan on spending my $25 a day and $250 Amex credit on food here.
what was the size of your party? If 3 or more I'd say $118 is a great deal.

And I understand the evening hor devours can pass for dinner on a night or two when you don't want to eat in a restaurant.
I looked at the restaurants on the main strip. They seemed expensive and commercial , it sort of like Las Vegas
the DP now are a lot more than $118 for a Palm Beach Club access
