I booked a premium economy fare at $230. I purchased the premium economy ticket since it was fully refundable and I wanted the dedicated overhead space. The higher fare class cost roughly $30 more a person.
At AEP the plane required stairs and a bus. The premium economy cabin was US style first class in a two-two config in two rows for a total of eight seats. My partner and I were the only two people in the cabin. The flight left on time and arrived on time. My biggest issue was with the state of the aircraft. The cabin was filthy and in dire disrepair. My partners tray table could not be removed since the armrest was broken. The flight did include a meal of a ham sandwich with cream cheese. It was edible and unexpected for a flight with a total time of roughly 1.5 hours.
The strangest part was that once we got above 10k feet the crew closed the thick curtains between the premium cabin and economy. They also closed the curtains between our cabin and the galley/bathroom. It was like having a private flight lol except the plane was filthy. They also seemed to not want us to use the forward lavatory so I was unsure what that was about.
At the end of the day we got from point a to point b. I have flown well over a 1,000 times and this was the most unclean and dilapidated cabin I had ever experienced. It looks like this plane had not even had a basic cleaning since it was delivered. This leads me to question other elements of the airlines maintenance.

Thanks for this report. It has measured my expectations for an upcoming flight FTE-AEP-MVD. I was already a little surprised to see there is no lounge at AEP, but seeing the condition of the planes, it's making more sense now.
