I am a recently minted Platinum Medallion member (status match from AA) and had a few questions for which Google wasn't really able to shed a lot of light - your help would be most appreciated!

1. One of the Plat Medallion benefits says that I can chose Comfort+ seats soon after ticketing even if I book Main. I made a domestic booking yesterday and still cannot do so without it telling me there will be a fee. I think this might have to do with the fact that the booking is for three people (I am one of them) and there might be a guest limit to the benefit - can someone explain how that works and what the limit is?

2. Comfort+/F upgrade 120 hours before the flight. On AA I can only get one guest onto the upgrade list, and when there's more than 2 people on the record locator, I have to call the EXP desk to have them split the booking. Is it the same procedure with Delta?
