I’d give the place a 3/5
Stayed here 3 times this year for work. Great hotel and staff for the most part. Appears to be struggling financially with the tech downturn.
1. Basics were on point (housekeeping, dining, bellmen, doormen, etc.)
2. Not much elite treatment as a titanium (that’s OK since I felt like that expectation is set well and the hotel is nice). I was offered a club for $50/night when I asked.
3. Since June there’s this gaudy and awful champagne pop up they’re doing to make some ad revenue in the courtyard area where they used to have tea and snack services. Blasting awful music and totally killing the peaceful vibe of the hotel. I complained about it at check out on my last 2 visits.
4. Being nitpicky but one of the evening doormen quite literally has his nose in the air and is very snooty. I found him to be quite unpleasant, and a client I brought to the hotel for drinks before a bigger dinner took notice and felt uncomfortable to the point they said something to me.
It would have been a solid experience for me if they didn’t need to resort to advertising to make ends meet…
