For the main meal I had the tomato soup, gnocchi and pannacotta. All were OK, my wife had the beef and was disappointed.
For the light meal I had an Asian salad (not on the menu?), tofu and then fruit (not on the menu?).
They ran out of a lot of food on this flight, the person sat next to me was only able to order the fish main, salmon light starter and seafood light main. This seemed to be the case for the back few rows of the club cabin.
The flight also ran out of water about an hour out of Heathrow and we couldn't have any more teas or coffees.
Service wasn't great either - I wasn't offered a drink with either meal (had to flag someone down both times) and my meal starter was served after everyone else had eaten theirs and started receiving their mains.
After both meals one side of the cabin was offered teas and coffees and the other wasn't and we had to go up and ask for them.
The snack selection was better than the outward flight with a variety of little boxes containing rolls, Japanese style meat and fish dishes as well as crisps etc.
So, exactly the same menu yesterday. I was slightly worried as it was a full flight and I am not a fan of quinoa or tofu steak. Seated in row 13 though, I got all of my choices (tuna starter, beef main then for the light meal salad starter and udon main). All the staff serving the meals in our section were Japanese and the service was excellent and they were fast, faultlessly efficient and polite. I think it is the first time in a while that I haven't had to remind anyone about a forgotten drink order and I can't remember the last time in CW that someone offered to set up the bed for me!
Club Kitchen had the usual array of crisps, biscuits and lindt chocolate. However, in the fridge there were packets of fruit, salad, yoghurts and also rolls (mainly tomato and cheese). There were also instant noodle packs which were not that popular. So, one of the cabin staff said afterwards "Here have some to take home" and promptly gave my wife a bag with six packs!
