Do your headphones have a standard single 35mm pin and then you have a 2 pin adapter? If so, remove the adapter and plug straight in to the bigger of the two ports (top I believe) and your headphones should work just fine. The smaller pin on BA J is to power the house cancelling element on the headphones they provide I believe. But if your headphones are like mine (Bose QC45s) then the noise cancelling is powered by an internal battery. Works fine for me.
