Most properties has a "24 hours" grace period whereby you can cancel without penalty even if it is a non refundable booking. Of course there might be exceptions so remember to read the DATE and TIME on the cancellation policy before booking. This "unofficial" grace period helps a lot for BRGs as you can cancel the booking (within the 24 hour window) if the BRG is unsuccessful.
