I'm sure people have been through my situation before so any advice please. I have 2 one-ways already purchased that I will fly in the required time period, but no other plans to fly during that time. So,

1) I assume I can cancel and rebook, thus qualify? Using flight credit from the cancellation to pay for the new flight (I will assess the difference, if any, and if it's worth it).

2) On one of my one-ways, in the same reservation I purchased an additional ticket for my wife, both flying to Seattle. Can I cancel ONLY myself and leave her ticket intact? What are the downsides of "decoupling" our flight in this way?
