Points wise, the AF is roughly 10k more in miles.

I've flown with KLM's 787-9 which I liked and also their 777-200 (2-2-2) which I didn't like. Never flown with AF.

What's the better option and why? Is the extra 10k justified?
Welcome to flyertalk!

AF has better catering and an overall in-flight experience but in my opinion, the A359 is only good if you have a true window seat which are even numbered seats if you are traveling solo. The new J seats on the 777 are basically the 789 seats but with an extra door. But, if you are connecting such that it's Schengen to Non-Schengen connection, it's much easier to connect through AMS than CDG. At the end of the day, the hard product is very similar but it's a matter of which destination you would prefer and whether you'd want better catering in the air or a better transit experience, at least from my point of view.
