Thanks for the reply and the suggestions. The contacts we thought would have to be check as when not worn require them to be submerged in a liquid and with the carry on rules have never chanced it.

Where we get nervous is we landed in Oslo just for the day or 20 hours. We leave very early tomorrow on a train. The lady at the desk said this complicates matters. So the chances less in Bergen.

Tomorrow I will need another shirt, jacket and rain gear so that cost goes up based on what I saw today. What if we need a piece of luggage as well to bring this stuff back?

We asked the front desk and my wife and I ended up spending roughly $100 here in Oslo for a change of clothes toothbrush, deodorant, etc. We did some asking around and where we went the cheapest place the hotel said.

We did not purchase trip insurance so sadly that will not help in this case.
