Agree that it would be lovely for Oman to honor the fare but with the seat fee at 0 the airline only has the fuel surcharge to hang onto to service the costs of the seats sold. It also depends on how many seats were sold, and potential loss of income verses selling them for sensible commercial terms. If it was a few 10s of flyertalkers they might have stomached it, but with the blogs having advertised this its probably the number of seats and scale of potential loss that influenced their decision.
A 1.000+ fare to BKK is not an error fare or just about. We have seen similar offers in the past with other airlines. Also if I am not mistaken the fare was alive for like what? A few hours? One day? Just poor but oh well. Next!
