Has anyone encountered this issue before? I tried to log onto my FB account and received an ‘email invalid’ error message. The same when I try to use my FB number. I last logged on in April after a welcome to Gold email I received from them so I know the correct email was in their system at least a few months ago. I have contacted them via Messenger but past experience tells me there may be a bit of a wait for a reply.

Sounds like a temporary glitch. Just try again later and call them, in case the problem persists.
