But yes, Bask's account opening process is tedious, so one might as well keep it open forever with a few dollars in it, in case it becomes useful again later.
Bask Bank has possibly most worthless account verification process of an institution.
Bask required Photo I and selfie. SO photo ID I picked was my driver's license and needed to photo both sides. Three different times the combed photos were rejected by Bask.
Took hours calling back in. Then the clueless rep says to me" I can clearly see your photo, I'send a verification signature document"!
Simple scribble of my name and I was accepted.
Bask is s so clueless no phot I is mandatory to initiate accounts at brokerages or other banks....yes, they have the right to ask but simply could have text form to enter driver license number.
Bask also doesn't document of monthly statements POINT earnings. One would think this would included with saving account interest since both are taxed.
Makes me cherish how easy I can apply for accounts(savings, CC's) with Chase, Capital One, etc virus bureaucracy at Bask.
