Day to day worries can make you crazy. In the big picture, sometimes you will end up a little bit ahead, sometimes a little bit behind, and unless you get stuck with pesos on the day of a major shock, the material difference is de minimis.
In general I agree and usually never sweat these things, Im not worried about another devaluation in the next week, and if it was just a few small ticket items I would use my CC. But on a large purchase a few $100 then going with cash seems a better bet
