OK heard back and you are correct, they will add the 21% tx if you pay in cash only. As long as you are a foreigner and not in the Country I think it was < 90 days you dont pay the tx.
That said using yesterdays #s the bill will be apx 254K using a CC @ 605 means $419, (with Visa rate being apx 20% off the Blue.
paying in cash would be $350,(Changing the USD at the Blue rate) dont know if they would charge the $531 rate booked in USD and couldnt care
So for a $70 savings if I can change $$ right after crossing over into AR and the driver will wait and its quick time wise, that is my plan. Otherwise ARS on my CC
its getting interesting the Blue Rate is down to 720 and the Visa rate went up to 641, so its apx a 12 difference , or for me apx $37 , if I cant get in and out of the Change place fast and the rates stay like this Id probably skip changing the $$ in Iguazu and pay using my CC
