The “risotto” was not what I was expecting. I managed a couple of bites and that was it. I didn’t even bother with the sweet potato starter. The dessert and cheese was a lot more palatable.
I had exactly the same menu on Wednesday 23rd back from LIS to LHR. I must say the Pea and Barley risotto did not appeal so chose the goats cheese ravioli instead.
I think I made the right choice even though it was a little dry. It could have done with a cheese sauce or more of the tomato sauce. It tasted OK though.
I thought the starter was odd, a chunk of squash with far too little rice. The squash was cooked OK but the dish was also a bit dry. I could have done with some olive oil to drizzle over it.
The passion fruit crumble was OK, not nearly as nice as the chocolate mousse desert on the outbound flight.
