Was just looking at this thread and was going to comment that MYK was pretty poor. It's made even worse if you hire a car, too. Nowhere to park it on return outside the airport, so the disappointment starts from there for me. You then expect a lounge, there isn't one, airport packed, then you wait to walk to the plane, only to find it not ready and made to stand outside in the sun, with your luggage, for 15 minutes.
Mykonos (JMK) has had a major upgrade since that comment was written in 2016, although I agree it is packed - supply hasn’t kept up with demand there perhaps. There is a lounge, quite nice actually, although not accessible on BA. When I was there I saw a constant stream of BA passengers being turned away. Again though this is down to BA cheapskatery rather than the airport itself.
