Whilst another hotel in SM might be good, I personally find the prices high for what it is now. Ok, it's got the beach, pier(s), ocean views (and a big car park to look at) etc., but the area is not a patch on what it used to be pre-Covid and I find it easier to stay away from the area and get a bus in for $1.75ish (or the Metro), spend a few hours walking to Venice and Marina Del Rey, then leave. Run down, lots of places closed, homelessness / urine smells etc.

Always seems to be in the $300-400/night region even during off-peak periods.
