Youd be surprised. Whilst there is a very healthy craft beer market in Ireland, there actually aren’t that many stouts and those that do rarely stock them on draft in pubs. Unfortunately the distribution muscle of Diageo (Guinness) still runs deep in terms of protecting access to taps. I also think stout drinkers are more traditional and conservative and less likely to experiment than lager or ale drinkers.

In terms of pubs, by all means have a look at Temple Bar, but please don’t make it your only stop, Kehoe’s, McDaids, Doheny & Nesbitts, Grogans, The Old Stand, The Duke would be my city centre favourites.
