Just flew this route in mid-July and Aug 2nd - was still the 2-3-2 configuration.
Although it sounds dreadful, if you get a window seat it really isn't that bad - there's plenty of room to hop over the person next to you if they are in lie-flat mode to get out. Not ideal, but not hard to do. The seats are older but they are still very comfortable to sleep and sit on.
All this being said: for the prices KE is asking, this product is woefully behind competitors, especially when you also consider the lack of wifi and terrible IFE. Better to get on Delta's flight if you can.
