IC MIAMI

InterContinental MIAMI

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked: King Classic City View
Received: upgraded to King Classic Bay View.

This corner room was reportedly newly renovated. I discover the power plugs all don't work unless you keep all the lights on. (I was at the conference all day and did not know this until late at night when I got back). Issue did not get fixed - for two days!.

Got moved to the adjacent non-corner room. Dirty dirty bathroom! Sagging bed. Aircon thermostat not working.

How are the rooms?
Old, clean room (first room) but with non-functional plugs;
dirty bathroom + sagging bed + nonadjustable aircon temp (second room)

How is the exec. lounge?
IDK

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Location.
View.
Upgraded to a room with a view for a discounted conference stay.
***Front staff offered to move me to a 'better' room after two nights.

Bad:
-Renovated rooms have non-working facilities!
-Staff are not motivated to fix problems - (I asked for either the plug to be looked into, or give me an extension cord. Whoever came into my room plugged all my charger cables far down underneath the nightstand instead!)
-Some dirty bathrooms
-Sagging bed
-aircon temp could not be adjusted.

***The fact that they moved me to a new room with worse amenities after complaining makes me think the front staff are passive-aggressive???

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
This was a conference so I had no choice with this decision.
The Kimpton, I think, is nearby. Will try that next time.
