This was on a Dash 8, so, 100% economy. (50 minute flight, whatever) The bins were almost comically empty. And then someone almost took my bag at the end because they have the same one as me, I had to stop them and tell them to look at the bag tag.
My perfectly legal, easily-fits-in-the-sizer bag also easily stows under the seat in front of me on a Dash 8 and my small backpack goes up top. I don't know why more people don't do that on those short flights. I'm 6 feet tall and for just an hour I have enough leg room.
