Will I be able to access the CCR on the basis of my SFO-LHR sector being F? Also, am I best doing this airside or, since I have time, going landside?

Yes, you'll have CCR access on the basis you state. Hold onto your incoming BP in case it's needed.
With time in hand, I'd personally go landside and through the First Wing.
You can also use the so called millionaires door if you do go via connections.
