Guessing that the employee in question mixed up the Gold and Diamond benefits (though what was stated isn't quite right for Gold either - they don't need to book onto an Exec floor, only end up on one, including through upgrade). Unless the property is trying to join the club of properties with "special" lounges (e.g. Sakura Club) which would be impossible to investigate without knowing the property.
