Yesterday was a terrible day at WAW airport - with so many red dots (delays over 45 minutes or cancellation) on FR24 it looked more like FRA or CDG and not my local efficient airport. My LO flight arrived 5 minutes ahead of schedule but we had to wait for like 10 minutes for ground staff - I think my first such the occurrence since early post COVID days.
I noticed several flights showing delays of over an hour, indeed a rare occurrence at WAW these days.
Going back to LIK (i.e. allegedly “tech”, as previously reported), funnily enough it was parked next to our “replacement” aircraft (LIN) and was being attended by a maintenance chap (he was working on the “nose”), quick fix as it seems (it later flew to BER). My main concern for the delay was to land just behind the DXB and IST flights or even the chronically late LH service from FRA (737, 321, 320 respectively…) and spend the whole Friday afternoon queuing at passports (those who have been to this part of the world will have had the “pleasure” of seeing the arrival hall, roughly the size of the
Mazurek lounge in WAW, I’ll let your imagination do the rest…).
