OK. I'll hold off on the phone call then. I've looked it up on airlinepolicy website (can't past link yet as I'm too new), which states that: "Qatar Airways misspelled name or Qatar Airways name correction request is not permitted for booking reserved under FFP Privilege Club." So there maybe would be little point in phoning back anyway it seems. Interestingly I've just come off the phone with BA for a separate flight and the agent stated they would have no problem changing it if occurred on BAEC.

In the unlikely event it is an issue at the check in desk, I guess I would have to buy a new ticket for my daughter (which would seem a bit mean)...
