I am assuming you are new to budget airline travel as this is already common practice on AirAsia, Ryanair, etc.
If you reject the seat selection, you will get a seat "somewhere" on the airplane. So you could get last row middle seat and your companion (if any) might end up in another middle seat in row 12. If this is okay (after all Tigerair flights tend to be quite short in duration), feel free to reject it. If there is any chance of preference or regret, then buy a seat at the time of booking as it will be more expensive later in the process.
