Frequent Flyers and Panic Disorders

Well, the good bit is that I managed all my requalifications before being grounded...

However, without going into details, I've recently started suffering from panic attacks (of the 'suffocation' variety), which are exacerbated by enclosure, if you like, but not triggered specifically by air travel or agoraphobia. The annoying part is that, for various reasons, I can't have anxiolytics, benzodiazepines (or alcohol, for that matter).

I have had a panic attack on a plane since this started (really rather unpleasant - and very high praise indeed to the BD crew who sorted me out), but, since then, have got the attacks much more under control.

I'm determined not to let this stop my travel, which, to me, is a very important part of my life. So, I'm asking the flyertalkers here... Do any of you suffer from similar attacks? And do you have any tips for coping with such attacks while in the confines of an aeroplane? I'm going to be taking a 'test' flight in the next couple of weeks before getting properly into it, and it'd be good to have a couple of tricks up my sleeve before heading off...

Any advice (here or via PM) would be much appreciated.
