Hello from a Newbie,

I have booed 4 avios reward tickets to from EDI to AKL on Qatar. I have just realised that I made an (admittedly stupid) mistake when booking and my daughters ticket has an extra letter in her surname.

Qatar say they don’t change names on reward flights and I’ve hit a bit of a brick wall trying to take if further. They tell me I need to cancel and rebook (although there are no reward flights now available to rebook), or pay cash, which I’m pretty reluctant to do as it is pretty expensive option.

Has anyone else had experience of this and had a good outcome? Any advice gratefully received.
