I recommend buying with Garuda directly, as they will help you in case of any issues like schedule changes.
As for buying tickets in person, I believe there are travel agents in Indonesia, but I can't recall if you can buy tickets at the airport.
My flight arrives at 2pm and the next Garuda flight is 7:30pm. I was hoping that after arrival I could make my way over to terminal 2 and look to see which is the next flight to leave (although I don't fancy flying anything made in china)
