Emerald Air - Consistently Poor Crew
Since Emerald commenced their very helpful Cork to Bristol service, I have flown almost weekly since its inception. Prior to this, I used Aer Lingus mainline to LHR who have absolutely superb crews.
Now that the Emerald service has settled down, I'm often taken back by the consistently poor service provided by the cabin crew - I have flown almost weekly for the past 10 years for work and pleasure and never have I boarded so many consecutive flights where the crew have been so unfriendly and treated the passengers with utter contempt. ORK-BRS during the summer months sees considerable tourist traffic, including many young families who may not regularly fly (especially not on an ATR) - it would make absolutely no harm for the crew to actually be friendly and helpful, instead of standing in the galley scrolling away on their phones.
I always make a point of being friendly when boarding and most of the time, I get nothing more than a grunt - a very poor first impression.
As for making a formal complaint to Aer Lingus or Emerald - why bother?! They never respond or even acknowledge....I almost called one of their directors out on LinkedIn earlier this week, but figured it would look poor in front of my work/industry colleagues.
