You can enter the following into the Extension Codes in an ITA Matrix search. It will return AA fares not in the
B, N, O, Q or S fare buckets.
f aa.. ; f ~bc=B | ~bc=N | ~bc=O | ~bc=Q | ~bc=S
The tidal ~ means negation or "not." For this search you are requesting [(f)ares on (aa)American Airlines] AND [(f)ares (~)NOT in (bc)booking classes B, N, O, Q AND S]
You can try bookwithmatrix to see if the cheapest eligible fare class to use the BXP1 populates properly into AA. If it doesn't, book any fare and put it on hold. Call AA and tell them you would like to upfare to the booking class you found and apply the instrument.
At least you will know what the fare will be. I have upfared AA itineraries with an agent to a booking class that earns 100% EQM in AS MP. Moving from V to L usually isn't a huge jump.
